F.A.Q.: This Frequently Asked Questions list was populated when Toonopolis first opened its doors back in April of 2000. It touches upon some of the major initial questions one might have when first running into this odd world we have created. It is not intended to be all-inclusive. About the Site: This is a little section devoted to explaining the details of the website itself, not anything about Toonopolis or Toonopolis Fighting World as a whole. Site Navigation: For those who get lost and confused like most of us do, this little section of the site can make things much easier. It has a detailed listing/linking of all of this site's many features and sundries. Not sure what a sundry is, but it sounded cool. E-Group: TFW keeps in contact with its fans and employees through a Yahoo! E-Group e-mailing list. If you want to know what's going on, when new line-ups come out, when shows are released, etc., then join this mailing list. Cartoon Physics: Once stolen from some website we found a long time ago, this list has been amended by various people to take on more of a life of its own. Feel free to submit any updates/changes to this list at any time. Reviews: Since TFW is so unique (and strange) some people in the past have felt that it was worthy of reviewing for various websites. If you come across a review or just want to write one yourself, feel free to inform us about it. Application: This page has a simple application form for entering a toon into the Toonopolis Fighting World. TFW has never been one to turn away anyone for quality reasons, so don't be afraid to send an application in if you're not confident. We'll work with you. Staff: Here we have a listing of both in character and out of character staff members. Most staff members are free for use in your toon's roleplays and almost all were created by Jeremy Rodden. Any exceptions to these statements will be noted. Toon Roster: Ah, the most important section of all: the roster. These are the ones who make it all happen here. Each toon has their own biography complete with fight records. This roster page is for current toons only. Waiting List: Toonopolis Fighting World has a forty toon limit to its normal roster. If this limit is reached, this waiting list will be put into place to serve as a reminder to those who are on the roster that if they don't pull their weight... others will. Rankings: Trying to think up a fair rankings system that beats out the one I used along with another person back in 1999 is impossible. Thus, we employ the same system... tweaked a little bit over time to near perfection. Contact List: This section has e-mail and AIM contact information for each creator who has decided to allow their information to be shared. The OOC board can serve as a means of communication for those who do not wish to share their information here. Toon Television (RP): Toon TV is the TFW roleplay board. This is where all of the roleplays will be posted for the upcoming shows. They will then be moved into the Roleplay Archive in the History section. This, my friends, is where the magic happens. IC Forum: For those times when toons just need to talk to one another, face to face or whatever they have in place of a face. The posts here have no bearing on real TFW storylines and roleplaying; it serves as just another way to have fun while bored. OOC Board: For the benefit of OOC discussion amongst the creators, this board will be moderated to ensure that everyone is having fun, not just a few people (if you get the drift). Saturday Morning: The flagship show for Toonopolis Fighting World. This show is released approximately every two weeks (give or take) but there is never a real set release date for the show. This page holds the upcoming line-up and an archive of shows. After School Special: ASS is for either new toons or toons who need to work a little before being bumped up to Saturday Morning. It is a weekly bulletted results show that has no fight write-ups or anything of the sort. Movies: Each season (thirteen Saturday Morning episodes) will be culminated into a grand event called a movie. That is assuming, of course, each season actually finishes unlike the second. Fight Instructions: This is a form for submitting Fight Instructions for the Saturday Morning episodes. Fight Instructions are optional, but without them the fight-writer has free reign to use the toons as they see fit in order to write the fight. The Story: Including the origin story (Both OOC and IC) written when the site first opened, this page also has a summary of the major storylines that travelled through the first two seasons of Toonopolis Fighting World to the present. The World: The Tooniverse is such an expansive place that it is hard to know everything about it. Fortunately, the creative minds of TFW's toon creators have helped to populate the world with every roleplay they write. This page is potentially limitless. Roleplay Archives: Not willing to trust allowing a third-party to preserve the legacy of TFW roleplays, this archive contains EVERY roleplay ever written for the TFW shows. Former Toons: Every creator who's ever submitted an application to TFW has done at least a little bit to help the world grow and expand. This is an homage to them and a reminder of the past. Championships: Since the stories seem to drive most creators, these championships just serve mostly as trophies and not necessarily as motivators. Either way, here they are. Records: It's always fun to keep track of various records, such as fighting records, rankings records, and championship records. This page does just that. Art Gallery: Many of our toon creators also happen to be talented artists. What can we say but we attract only the best. Here is a gallery of art submitted to the TFW. Name That Quote: Starting as a joke in one of the early Saturday Morning episodes, Name That Quote became something that precipitated an entire game for every episode. The point talleys have started over for Season Three. Quote of the Moment: Some words are just so priceless they need to be plucked from the mouths of their speakers and embedded permanently. The QotM will appear on top of the Toon Television board and this page holds the archives. Roleplay Tips: This page has been tweaked a bit to make it less dated, but the ultimate messages still haven't changed. These tips serve as suggestions and guides, especially to those who have never played a game like this before. Downloads: Hopefully this section will take off like it did before TFW switched web page formats way back when, but here one can find AIM buddy icons, wallpapers, and more. Links: Links are always fun. I say this because this is true. TFW has no problem giving out link space if others are willing to return the favor. Contact the creator if interested. |
