TFW's website has gone through many variations in the past three years. This is actually the fifth reconstruction of the website since Toonopolis was first created. In the past, the site was created on Microsoft FrontPage (the first three incarnations). The fourth was created (yet never finished) by Matt K., a friend of the creator and was the most stunning, visually and contextually. This new incarnation is designed to be different, though. One may notice that there are very few images on this website. The reason for this is two-fold: 1.) Jeremy Rodden does not know how to make images very well (thus, pretty much any image on this site can be credited to Jen Bruck) and 2.) Toonopolis Fighting World is a context driven organization. The second is more important. Pictures, images, flash (although, the intro page still uses Jen's killer TFW flash because it's too cool to not use), and all that bells and whistles kind of stuff is erroneous. TFW is about the world, the roleplays, and the shows. That being said, the website was hand-coded and employs some simple aspect of ASP for use of Server-Side Includes (the menu being the SSI file). Aside from that, basic HTML was used that shows no signs of super-coolness on the part of the site creator but functionality and navigation should be easy. Copyright wise, Toonopolis Fighting World opened its doors on April of 2000 and is the brainchild of Jeremy Rodden. However, the world has grown and improved over the years thanks to the help of its many creators' hard work. The characters that have been created to populate the world are copyright to their respective creators. All ownership information can be found within the bios of each toon that ever joined Toonopolis Fighting World, past and present. |
