Main Page -- Employees -- Toon Roster -- Akemirou Ronin

Creator: Popkin
Name: Akemirou Ronin
Height/Weight: 4'7"/136 lbs.
Real Name: Steven Walters
Race: Ninja
Age: 26
Style: Stealth ninja fighting and weapon usage.
From: A failed Japanimation cartoon set in the future Tokyo, Japan.
Weapon: A sleek katana.
Theme: Varies
Description: Akemirou is a short, well-built Asian man. His facial features can't be identified due to the fact a small black cloak is permanently wrapped around his head revealing only his eyes, keeping his true identity a mystery (that would be the case if we didn't already know who he was, or if he stopped introducing himself to all of his enemies). He wears a black silk robe around a black shirt and pants. Along his clothing are ancient crimson red symbols his former animators stuck on for class, but when translated their just Chinese letters for words like "Cat" and "Mother". Within this cloak are assortments of dangerous weapons, and is also used as a C-space gateway for whatever random thing Akemirou feels like using. Strapped across his back is a dangerous katana withheld in a leather sheath, sharp enough to cut limbs from the bone.
Attitude: Though ninja's are usually very calm and honorable, Akemirou is an extremely irritable little bastard with constant mood swings. He's also a very sinful person; indulging in such activities as gambling, prostitution, binge drinking, and whatever suits his evening (mostly the prostitution, though).
Strengths: Is extremely swift and stealthy, being a ninja and all, and has a minor in "Weapon Usage".
Weaknesses: His mood swings can get in the way of fighting, as well as an egotistical attitude toward everything and everyone.
Finishing Move: Akemirou has no specific finishing move, but enjoys going out with a flashy finish, pulling out all the stops to obliterate his opponent.
Origin: It all started with the executive producer of a children's programming monopoly. Eager to cash in on the "If-it-looks-remotely-from-Japan-kids-will-eat-it-the-hell-up" franchise, he ordered a new fall schedule to contain five brand new anime shows. This was the beginning of Akemirou; a noble ninja who helped along a team of scantly clad schoolgirls who used robots of awesome power to fight the forces of evil. But, I digress; this story isn't all about poking fun at what they pass as decent cartoons these days.

Eventually, a sex scandal involving embezzlement and steamy, lucid stories of love left the business bankrupt. Thousands of people lost jobs, the higher-ups were jailed, and most importantly, all current cartoon projects at the time were permanently abandoned (yet still lingered on in the limited edition DVDs and collectable items). Akemirou was now lost in the vast world of the Tooniverse, a true warrior moving at three frames a minute (last crack on the anime, I swear).

For a long time, Akemirou continued with his quest for justice and magical items, but night after night of fruitless efforts left him cold and skeptical. Were the little guys still worth fighting for? Was the evil in the world a plague to be disposed of? Was true Nirvana really achieved by first achieving peace? For yet another long time, the questions plagued his mind. The chilling grip of pessimism eventually got hold of Akemirou. He was left a bitter shell of a man; angry at the world for the lies and deception it had given him.

After sulking around and whining about said lies for a couple of months, Akemirou decided it was time for a well-needed change. It was time for a new persona, something different. Thus started the journey into the seedy underbelly of Toonopolis. A journey that lead to thievery, crime, slaughter, chaos, greed, and sin. Along with a change of priorities came a physical change. Akemirou become more fluent in his actions, his lines became more curved, his eyes less detailed but more buggy. His life of crude actions was detaching him from his roots. Now, no longer was he the anime hero of his creation, but a common toon crook. The change stays with him till this day, a blessing to him more than a curse. But this is besides the point we're driving at here.

In time, Akemirou realized common thievery was no way to support himself. He soon found his calling at the Toonopolis Ministry of Assassination (TMA), a highly organized association of musclemen, lackeys, heroes, mobsters, vampires, and ninjas such as himself. For the majority of his current career, he worked as a common assassin, taking the lives of cheating husbands and common school bullies, considered a comfy job among the TMA with good pay. Though, his good luck could only hold up for so long. Akemirou eventually was promoted due to his efficient method of slice and dice. His promotion proved to be a setback, for he was no longer being paid for random acts of violence and death. He was now being paid to save and retrieve things, whether they were toons or items. He was working for the common wealth of the people again, something he had refused to go back to.

Searching for another outlet for pent-up rage and the urge to cause mass chaos, Akemirou stumbled upon the Toonopolis Fighting World. A place where he was once again being rewarded for his horrible acts against humanity. The crooked ninja hopes the TFW will bring him fame and more money than he is already pulling in.

Manager
Name: Marcy McBrian
Height/Weight: 5' 11''/ 154 lbs.
Race: Secretary
Description: Marcy is a simple 32 year-old woman, with flowing red hair, many spotted freckles, and skin that's white as a ghost. Everything you'd expect from an Irish farm girl. She wears a simple white blouse, along with a lengthy peach-colored skirt. Everything you would expect from your clichéd female secretary.
Attitude: Marcy is a very timid woman, sometimes fearful and obedient. Beneath the weak façade is a fearless woman with a wild side of her own. Akemirou is sometimes able to tap this alter ego of hers and use it for his own purposes, unless this Bizarro Marcy gets out of his control, which is mostly often the case.
Origin: Marcy grew up on a small farm in Ireland, in a strict Catholic family. Eventually, teenage rebellion set in and she would begin to disobey her parents at every turn. Soon enough, she was disowned, and from then her life went downhill. These are all personal matters Marcy would like to leave behind, and have no actual relevance to anything, so let's get straight to the important part. Marcy was involved in a near fatal car crash, leaving her in a dramatic coma. Due to the idiocy of a hospital technician (quickly fired in fear of a lawsuit), wires were crossed with life support, and she died in a matter of moments. Though, due to an electrical miracle (one not explained due to gaping plot holes), Marcy's conscious mind was sent to the Tooniverse. Both her wild and timid sides were formed into one single toon, her having control over neither.

Marcy now works as a secretary for the newly promoted Akemirou Ronin, who she has known in the TMA for quite some time. She was dragged into the manager position in his star-struck frenzy when discovering the TFW.
